Meet Ana
Children of St. Peter is very fortunate to have a facilitator who has been working for us in Guatemala since the beginning of the project. Ana grew up in San Lucas, Guatemala and was in a project similar to Children of St. Peter as a child and youth. She continued her education after high school and received a degree as a bilingual secretary and speaks three languages: English, Spanish and Mayan.
For nearly 40 years, Ana has and continues to work with underprivileged children and their families, focusing on their education. She meets with most children each week, monitors their school attendance, reviews their grades, and assists with their schooling needs. Ana is trusted and respected by the people of San Pedro and the surrounding communities, and therefore families frequently come to her with their emergency needs.
