Meet Ana
Children of St. Peter is very fortunate to have a facilitator who has been working for us in Guatemala since the beginning of the project. Ana grew up in San Lucas, Guatemala and was in a project similar to Children of St. Peter as a child and youth. She continued her education after high school and received a degree as a bilingual secretary and speaks three languages: English, Spanish and Mayan.
For almost 40 years, Ana has devoted herself to supporting underprivileged children and their families, with a strong emphasis on education. She meets with most of our children weekly, monitoring their school attendance, evaluating their academic performance, and providing support for their educational requirements. Ana has earned the trust and respect of the people of San Pedro and the neighboring communities, even prompting families to seek her help in times of crisis. She stands as a beacon of hope and a source of strength for our students, their families and Children of St. Peter!
